ForwardKeys is a fast growing b2b travel analytics firm that is nearly 10 years young. We have quickly grown to be a talented team of around 80 staff that creates value by analysing and predicting global travel movements and make that information and insights available to help companies improve their decision making.

We empower businesses around the world by providing access to a near real-time picture of who is travelling where and when, viewing the traveller at each economic stage of their journey. This information is then being complemented with additional datasets and cross-selections to make it relevant for solving the pains of specific industry segments.

We are looking for a Sales Manager Destinations that helps us to keep momentum of our largest client portfolio ‘Destination Management Organisations (DMO’s). The candidate should bring us to the next level to serve the specific needs of this market, widen our growing portfolio of more then 60 clients around the world and prepare future opportunities by introducing new data-driven solutions.

  • Develop sales plans and executes – you will liaise between the HQ team in Valencia and detected market needs, striving for high revenue growth by setting out your sales plans in line with the company strategy.
  • Team player, networker, sales business execution. Working closely with the Customer Success teams and manage a junior Account Manager to target & grow smaller accounts. With your specific market knowledge for Destinations, enthusiasm, and energy you will keep the momentum going for ForwardKeys within this market segment.
  • Utilizing infrastructure, systems and product development to support the success of Destinations. The optimization of the SalesForce structure will enable you to manage the use of budgets, pipeline development, account planning and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting. As we continue to develop our product strategy, you have the ability to deliver value-based solutions for Destinations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product. You will keep track of customer needs and convert this information with other departments as to optimize our solutions. In cooperation with the marketing team you will develop the best go-to-market strategies and lead gen conversion.
  • Manage key accounts and positioning of ForwardKeys. You will frequently travel interact with various continents across the world and visit our most important clients and partners, attend conferences to develop lasting relationships and position ForwardKeys as a reference for global travel intelligence.

Experience and personal skills

  • Level of education: First degree level.
  • Experience: at least 10 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Reports to the CCO.
  • Key skills: be a negotiator, have travel industry expertise and be hands-on.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Salary indication: fixed salary with a commission scheme according to international industry standards.

We are looking for a sales fighter with:

  • Experience in delivering consistently sales performance, in a multinational environment, and in a data analytics company ideally focussed on the Travel Industry.
  • Demonstrable success in consistently delivering high annual revenue growth rates and in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Successful experience building sales go-to-market strategies and corporate sales plan and evaluating progress against both the sales plan.
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities with six figure annual contract values. 

ForwardKeys was established in 2010 when the founders realised that the air reservation data used by airlines could serve every industry with an interest in global travellers. Since then, we have built solutions to monitor and qualify traveller flows, map global demand and forecast travel trends. Our portfolio of clients include a growing number of companies representing destinations, travel retailers and Duty free shops, travel vendors, financials, media agencies and others.

ForwardKeys grows it’s business by targeting new segments, geographical white spots and recruiting complementary and exclusive datasets to develop new products and services to better understand and predict the travel landscape.

You operate from your own place and under normal conditions travel few times per year to our HQ in Spain.
