At ForwardKeys, we have an impressive portfolio of data sources at our disposal that provide traveller insights to businesses such as travel retailers and duty-free operators, hotels, and tourism boards. ForwardKeys has been active in travel retail since 2010 and in 2021, we’re planning to expand the range of business solutions and data partnerships for this sector.

Are you ready to be the next VP of Business Development for Travel Retail at ForwardKeys? We are on the hunt for a stellar senior executive with a B.A in Commerce who thrives on forming new alliances, converting partnerships into meaningful business, with strong communication skills to liaise with new and existing travel retail clients from all around the world.

Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:

  • Product ownership of our Travel Retail portfolio, development, and support. This would include technical product demos to prospective clients; articulating the market needs to the Data Scientists and IT team for product enhancement or innovation; and seek cross-marketing opportunities.
  • Sourcing new business development and sales within the travel retail sector. This would include a combination of retaining clients, upselling, and identifying new prospects to on-board.
  • Client account management: new and existing clients.
  • Conduct on-going product training internally to helping team members further develop their skills and Travel Retail expertise.
  • Liaise closely with the Data Officer to ensure data consistency, quickly identifying any issues that could potentially impact the data integrity.
  • Attend global conferences as needed.

If you have strong interpersonal skills, a background in travel, understand the importance of being able to weave a good story to engage and retain clients, feel confident in the value data brings to the travel retail world, and can speak English and/or Spanish, French, or Chinese, we’d love to see your CV!

ForwardKeys is an innovative travel analytics company. The company was established in 2010 when the founders realised that the air reservation data used by airlines could serve every industry with an interest in global travellers. Since then, we have built an online platform on which our clients monitor and qualify traveller flows, map global demand, and forecast travel trends. We are now 60 people strong and growing: always looking for new datasets to develop and new products to help our clients understand the travel landscape.

You will be able to work from home, but your job will require several trips to our Headquarters in Valencia (Spain).
