It is recommended to click \u201cclear\u201d button [D] before opening the calendar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trip Attributes \u2013 Trip Origin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only\u00a0<strong>Trip Origin<\/strong>\u00a0parameter must be set up in order<strong>\u00a0to launch a query under scenario two<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>continuing trip from POI.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5204\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"302\" height=\"102\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Trip Origin is the starting location of the passenger\u2019s air reservation itinerary. It is ultimately an airport terminal, however, depending on your contractual specifications and geographic scale of analysis, trip origin can be displayed as a subcontinent, country, state\/province, city, or an airport for your query results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Further Destination set of parameters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Two filters are essential to set up<\/strong>, in order to launch a query: Further Destination and, Length of Stay at Destination. Inbound Gateways set of parameters is not necessary to set up for basic continuing departures queries.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5205\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"217\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Further Destinations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Further Departures module users quite often want to understand the continuing departure trends to any destination, therefore selecting \u201cExclude Domestic\u201d [A] is the most often used setting for Destination filter.<\/p>\n<p>You can also select the specific destination(s) one by one in the drop-down menu [B], or type their name(s) in the \u201cQuick Search\u201d box [C] and select them as they appear.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5206\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"255\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-8.png 255w, https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-8-226x300.png 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lengths of stay at Further Destination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This parameter helps to differentiate passengers according to their length of stay at the destination(s) of your interest.<\/p>\n<p>To analyse passengers who stay overnights at their destination(s), please select from 1 to 22+ nights.<\/p>\n<p>To analyse passengers who go back home eventually, you can choose \u201cReturn Home\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>There are category explanations, please visit our Glossary.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5207\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"311\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Analysis (parameters)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are two essential parameters in the Analysis parameter set in the \u201cBasic\u201d panel view before launching your query: Scale (for time) and Granularity (for geographical categories for Trip Origin).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5208\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"373\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-10.png 373w, https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-10-300x142.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 373px) 100vw, 373px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Scale parameter (A) allows you to define the detail level of the time period of your interest, subject to your contractual specifications.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to perform your analysis on a monthly scale, the comparable dates will be the exact same calendar period (E.g. \u201c01 to 31-Dec 2017\u201d vs \u201c01 to 31-Dec 2016\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to perform a daily or weekly analysis, the comparable dates will define the previous period starting with the same weekday (E.g. \u201cFri 1 Dec \u2013 Thu 28 Dec 2017\u201d vs \u201cFri 2 Dec \u2013 Thu 29 Dec 2016\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Granularity parameter (B) allows you to define the detail level of the Trip Origin(s) of your interest, subject to your contractual specifications.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose \u201cU.S.A\u201d in Trip Origin, and choose to \u201cShow Trip Origin CITIES\u201d, Top 15 US cities in terms of arrival volume will show up in the query results.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to \u201cShow Trip Origin as Purchased\u201d, there may be a mix of countries, cities, or airports showing up in the query results, depending on the arrival volume the markets contribute to the destination.<\/p>\n<p>The option of \u201cShow Trip Origin SUBCONTINETS\u201d is available free of charge to analyse total international arrivals for users who have purchased markets at country, city, or airport level.<\/p>\n<p>Now you are ready to run one query in ForwardKeys, click on \u201cAnalysis\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\">Set up parameters in \u201cStandard\u201d and \u201cAdvanced\u201d panels<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many more parameters appear if you switch to the \u201cStandard\u201d and \u201cAdvanced\u201d panels. Most of them appear as segmentation information in your query results, we just bring them into the parameter panels to offer you more flexibility to customize your analysis focus. If you have doubts and questions on the definitions on any parameter or any parameter category, please visit our Glossary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u201cStandard\u201d and \u201cAdvanced\u201d panel brings in the complete Date parameters, which are extremely useful if you want to compare a certain period with NOT previous year, but a few years back, or just a few weeks or months in the future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Set up Date parameters in \u201cStandard\u201d or \u201cAdvanced\u201d parameter panel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Switching to the \u201cStandard\u201d and \u201cAdvanced\u201d panels not only enables analyses that are not necessarily year-on-year, but also allows analyses with certain arrival dates and certain booking dates of your interest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5210\" src=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"358\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-11.png 358w, https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/continuing-dep-2.set-up-11-300x208.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 358px) 100vw, 358px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first row of any date selector is used to set up the period you are interested in, current period (Y0), while the second row [A] is to set up the comparable period (Y-1).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By opening the calendar, you can set up specific dates of interest, such as Chinese New Year, Ramadan, etc., or you can compare the current period with two, three, or more years ago. It is all flexible to set up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The booking dates selectors [B] allow you to define the time period when the passenger made their reservation. In most cases, we recommend clearing the Booking dates using the X button, so that the application will automatically include all most-update-to-date bookings for your analysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Normalization dates [C] will automatically be set by default for every query, but can also be defined to receive constant absolute figures. For the definition of Normalization, please visit our Glossary for \u201cComparable Set (Normalization)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Granularity of further destination locations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Granularity of further destination locations can be decided using this parameter and ForwardKeys application can present visuals for max 15 locations in one query. It shows up in \u201cAdvanced\u201d parameter panel view, and by default, further destinations are shown as cities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\">Step 3 \u2013 Interpret the results<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\">Results in On the Book, Travel History, or Booking History<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Default view of a query result lands firstly at the key segmentation, Trip Origin, which ForwardKeys users are commonly interested in. Public holidays and school holidays are collected for all countries in the world and ForwardKeys analysts constantly feed the database with more than ten other kinds of events, such as visa eases, terror attacks, natural disasters, etc. Recent analyst inputs within one month will show up under the variation graph.
