{"id":4730,"date":"2024-01-09T12:30:47","date_gmt":"2024-01-09T11:30:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.forwardkeys.com\/2024-forwardkeys-rd-update\/"},"modified":"2024-12-05T10:05:14","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T09:05:14","slug":"2024-forwardkeys-rd-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forwardkeys.com\/es\/2024-forwardkeys-rd-update\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 ForwardKeys R&#038;D Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Research and development (R&amp;D) are fundamental to our operations at ForwardKeys and play a crucial role in our ability to innovate within and beyond the global air travel data market\u00a0 to respond to evolving customer needs.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently involved in active or recently completed projects across three distinct technological domains, each with a unique focus and purpose.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Data Space for Tourism<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Data Space for Tourism (DSFT) project, completed in October 2023, was an initiative funded under the Digital Europe Programme to provide guidelines to the European Commission for the DSFT's future implementation. This project, crucial to the European Strategy for Data, aligned with the Data Governance Act's goals of fostering data sharing trust, increasing data availability, and simplifying data reuse.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinated by ForwardKeys and including Modul University, City Destinations Alliance, and the European Travel Commission, the DSFT project focused on creating a transparent, interconnected, and interoperable data ecosystem for the tourism industry.<\/p>\n<p>Its achievements included developing a comprehensive tourism data inventory, engaging stakeholders to co-design potential governance models, producing a technical report for DSFT's design, and creating a strategic blueprint for its deployment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube fusion-aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 600px; max-height: 360px; width: 100%;\">\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player 4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2xdqM1FloZI?wmode=transparent&amp;autoplay=0\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-105\">\n<h2><strong>GEOTURISTA<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The GEOTURISTA project, ongoing under the \"Ultima Milla\" initiative by SEGITTUR, runs from June 2023 to November 2024. Coordinated by ForwardKeys, with EVENTS and EURECAT as partners, it aims to extend the understanding of travellers' impacts on destinations, specifically around large-scale events.<\/p>\n<p>The project involves scientific-technical analysis to segment tourists based on their profiles, entry points, and activities, using geolocated data from mobile apps and telecom operators.
